With the development of economy and the improvement of people’s living standards, people's mind has changed to "eat with healthy nutrition". Being one kind of the main nutrients of human, people become more sensible when purchasing edible oil. At present, edible oil in the market is divided into leaching oil and pressed oil according to different production technology. Leaching oil commonly known as "salad oil" is made from chemical solvent extraction material refined through a complex process. This kind of oil has lost its nutrients during the refining process, and there is toxic substances residual in the chemical solvent to make people keep distance from the salad oil. Pressed oil depends entirely on purely physical mechanical press without any chemical solvent. The processing method can ensure highest nutrient content and retain their original taste and flavor with the features of "green, natural, nutritive and healthy", and becoming the most commonly used edible oil in people's daily life. The oil press industry has huge market and broad prospect both home and abroad.

Usage and Maintence of screw oil press

How to use:
The temperature of oil press room should be maintained at 15 degree -20degree, low temperature will affect the oil yield and oil quality. Oil material's water content should be controlled as follows: peanut 8%-11%,soybean 5%-8%,cottonseed 4%-6%, rapeseed 6%-8%.
Start the machine idle to normal situation, then feed a small quantity of oil material to heat the hopper, meanwhile, observe whether the cake is expelled smoothly or not. If not, it may be due to the undersized space of the cake discharge opening, should adjust the handle clockwise rotation. If the cake is expelled too much too quickly, should adjust hand-wheel counterclockwise rotation until it is working normally. Then slowly increase the feeding amount, take strict precautions against non-uniform feeding, load suddenly surges to cause blocking.
The working temperature of oil press, if the incoming material is a little dry, consequently, the temperature of machine should be a little higher, otherwise, lower. In general, when the machine temperature reaches 0 degree, the machine surface become hot to touch, you could start working normally.

Maintenance of screw oil press
During working, you should always check the cake outlet, if the cake is exhausing unsmoothly or can not be discharged, stop feeding immediately, remove the material in inlet, unsnatch the shaft slowly and remove plug.
Continuously clean dregs to prevent blocking. The pressed cake could be put into the hopper to press again
When there is something wrong with the oil press, the screw shaft stuck, you should shut down power immediately, then insert the plug-board tightly, open the nesting output board, and reverse the screw shaft to make it out of the machine.
Regularly lubricate the equipment with grease and lubricants.

Pretreatment of oilseeds before pressing

The oilseeds should be pretreated before pressing, and the quality of pretreatment effects the life performance, safety of machine directly as well as the oil output rate. The usual process including:

Selecting: Clear the mud and sand, stones and metals in the oilseeds through selecting. Oilseeds without careful selecting will speed up the wearings of the accessories, and can even lead to damage of the machine.
Shelling and Separating: In order to fully develop the machine’s production capacity and reduce the loss of the oil, raw materials with shells such as groundnuts, bancoulnuts, cottonseeds, and teaseeds, should be shelled, and shells and kernels should be pressed separately (cottonseeds should be off- velveteen).This is the necessary process.
Crushing and flaking: Teaseeds and beans(when cold pressing) can usually be pressed intactly. But the oil output rate would be much higher after crushing and flaking.
Roasting: The key factor of oil output rate is roasting, so it is said “70% lies in roasting, and 30% lies in pressing”. Water content and temperature of raw material should be controlled before pressing. It is suggested and requested that the user should master roasting technology in order to achieve idea economic benefits.
